“European Match Play Tournament”

Saturday 13th – Sunday 14th May 2017


Archers are invited to Colombo Park Bemboka for a different style of archery. The tournament is based around the match play style of archery used in the finals of the World Field Archery Championships in Europe (see World Archery on you tube).

Teams consisting of three archers will shoot at targets ranging from 20 metres to 50 metres, set in a natural amphitheatre with a time limit of two (2) minutes for all three archers to shoot.  The teams are to consist of three different types of bows or shooting styles (i.e. Longbow, Recurve and Asian Bow). Teams will shoot 4 rounds on Saturday and 2 rounds on Sunday. The team with the highest overall score wins the tournament. Muster is at 10.30 am with competition commencing at 11 am on Saturday. On Sunday muster will be at 9 am, competition commencing at 9.30 am.

Colombo Park has camping facilities, toilets and showers. Camping fee is $10 per night for unpowered site and $15 per night for powered site, payable to the Bemboka Lions Club. There are hotel rooms available at Bemboka Pub or local B & B’s. Entry fee is Adults $10 and Juniors $5.

A BBQ Lunch can be purchased from the Bemboka Lions Club, evening meals available at Bemboka Pub, Drovers Rest Café or The Cob Oven Restaurant.
